Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about SalesPipe: where your data lives, whether it sends without asking, what it costs to run, how it avoids getting a WhatsApp number banned, which computers it runs on and how to cancel. If a question is missing, it is because nobody has asked it yet.

Is my data safe?

Your leads, messages and settings live in a database on your own computer, in a folder the app owns. Nothing is uploaded to SalesPipe servers because there are none. The only data that leaves your machine is what you choose to send to people and what the AI model you connect needs to write and judge.

Does SalesPipe send messages without asking?

Not until you tell it to. The default is “first of each kind, then go”: you see the first message of a new kind as an approval card, and after your OK the rest of that kind go on their own within the daily limits. You can switch to “ask every time” or “just go” per program. Payments, deletions and anything about money always ask.

What does it cost to run?

Two things: the app licence and the AI model you connect. See the pricing page for the current price. For the model, you bring your own key; a free OpenRouter route is preselected at setup and paid routes cost cents per day at the volumes the app sends. Lead-finding APIs are optional and metered too; the app shows each one's allowance and spend on its Connections page.

Can WhatsApp ban my number?

It can if a number sends like a bot, so the app sends like a careful person. A number starts at 3 to 5 messages a day, then 6 to 10 after 7 days of sending, then 10 to 18 after 14 days of sending, a different count each day. All campaigns share one number's day: never more than 18, with 2 rest days and 2 light days each week, at least 5 minutes apart, only in the recipient's daytime. It stops for the day on a limit warning and for days if WhatsApp restricts the number, then climbs again from the start; it rests when fewer than 12% of people answer or 120 people in a month have not. Use a second SIM for prospects; these figures are the lowest from operator reports, not WhatsApp's published numbers.

Does it work on Windows or Linux?

Not yet. SalesPipe ships for macOS today. Windows and Ubuntu are planned and the code is kept portable, but neither is tested or packaged.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Billing is through Polar, a merchant of record, and you cancel from the receipt email or the customer portal at any time; the app keeps working until the end of the paid period. Refunds within 14 days, no questions asked.

Which AI models does it use?

Whatever you connect. It talks to remote providers through your own keys, with a fast tier for routine steps and a strong tier for judgement and writing; a free route is preselected so you can start without a card. Local models are supported in the engine but off by default.

Does it need my computer to stay on?

Yes. It runs in your menu bar on one computer. If the computer sleeps or goes offline, work pauses and resumes on its own; nothing is lost and nothing is retried blindly if it might already have been sent.

Can my team use it?

No. One owner, one computer, one set of accounts. There are no shared workspaces or user roles.

What languages does it speak?

The chat answers in the language you write, including Roman Urdu, and messages to people go out in their language. The app's screens are in English today; Urdu and Arabic screens are planned.

Is this allowed under the platforms' terms?

You are using your own accounts through the official clients, at a person's pace, and you set every limit. The app adds no evasion: no anti-detection browsers, no CAPTCHA solvers, no fake identities. Whether a given use fits a platform's terms and your local law is your call; the app shows you what it is about to do so you can make it.
